Hi All,
The issue trackers (to manage bug reports and feature requests) on
Gnuastro's project webpage are now working:
There are three sets of issue trackers:
Support tracker: This is open for any (anonymous) viewer for submitting
an issue or browsing.
Bug tracker: Anyone can browse the issues in this tracker, but only
Gnuastro developers can submit to it or edit items in it. The items in
this tracker are issues (problems) with the existing features in Gnuastro.
Task tracker: This is mainly for future plans and feature additions.
Like the Bug tracker, any (anonymous) viewer can view it. But only
Gnuastro developers can modify it. I just finished adding the existing
plans for Gnuastro to this tracker.
See https://savannah.gnu.org/userguide/?file=ch04.html for a complete
explanation from Savannah.
These trackers (and all other development project management tools) can
be found on Savannah:
https://savannah.gnu.org/projects/gnuastro/
There is two ways to see them:
1. From the top list of links ("main", "Homepage", ..., "News"). The
"Support", "Bugs" and "Tasks" links will display all the available
operations on that particular tracker in a drop down menue. This list is
available from all the sub-pages of the project webpage (and will thus
be the most easiest to use).
2. In the top Gnuastro project webpage, there is a "Communications
Tools" box. This links to the Support tracker items (for browsing and
submitting) along with all the mailing lists. The "Development tools"
box has links for the other two trackers.
The issues listed in the bottom two trackers are a good starting point
for anyone who is interested in participating in the development of
Gnuastro.
The support tracker is an alternate to this mailing list and is open for
anybody to submit to. Essentially, all issues that are submitted to the
address@hidden mailing list will end up in either in the Bug or
Task trackers by the developers if they are valid (like what happens to
the items posted on the Support tracker).
Cheers,
Mohammad
