The FSF is looking for some concrete examples where Free Software has had
a direct positive impact on research projects related to the environment,
health care, and/or any scientific research that relied on Free Software,
and subsequently directly impacted the public good in a positive and
significant way.

We are particularly interested in hearing about research projects that
made use of existing Free Software packages to get the work done better or
faster, and any USA National Science Foundation grants that might have
supported such work.

If you know of examples like this, please write to
<address@hidden>.

Thanks for your time and assistance.
