Hi Werner,
If you want to use CVS on z/OS with USS for controlling HFS files (eg:
Java files) then CVSMVS will probably be ideal.

If you want to use CVS on z/OS for controlling non-HFS files (eg: RPG or
COBOL) then you will need to write your own solution or get help from a
provider such as the people I work for. A little information about our
previous work for CVS to work with record based file systems like OS/400
