I understand that EOL and encoding might be different between linux
and windows and are source of troubles.
Isn't there a way to get around that? That would be good not to have
to duplicate sandboxes

That's what I have under windows. When testing, I changed the :ssh:
into :ext: under Unbuntu and set CVS_RSH to ssh.

My mistake. The version on the Unbuntu client side is cvsnt
2.5.03.2382.
On the server side, cvs 1.11.17 is installed.
I don't have the windows cvsnt client version number at hand, but it's
been installed pretty recently using the most recent version I could
find.
