Please.  I strongly suggest reading at least parts of the manual:


If you're actually using CVSNT, you'll need to find its manual since
parts of it are radically different from regular CVS.

Because CVS is primarily a *source* control system and you want source
files to be in the correct format for the system you're currently
working on, not the system where they were originally created.

You can use the cvswrappers file to do that, although it's not a good
idea unless you really have no interest whatsoever in supporting
multiple platforms.  See the previously mentioned manual for details.
