To all subscribers,
I subscribed to this mailing list, info-cvs, several months back and just received the piece of spam below.
I thought I would bring it to everyone's attention that our email addresses have apparently been "harvested" from the mailing list and are being used as targets for spam.
I don't know if any safeguards can be put into place by the list administrators to prevent further recurrences of this sort of thing; perhaps the best we can do is make sure we subscribe to lists using only "throwaway" email accounts like address@hidden rather than our "real" email addresses.
