Re: looking for an in-depth generic howto on cvs over ssh

Oh oh oh dear.

What I did was to replace the CVS/passwd entry with my new cvs user
password (duh!) and  run cvsd-buildroot and things are now ok.

And, yes, I switched from pserver to ssh, just because it looks like a
safer approach even though I doubt anyone's interested in my little lan
- but for the exercise which turned out to be trivial.

The only thing now is that ssh insists on a password even though I've
put my public key to the .ssh of my cvs user. Something's not quite
right. I'll have to poke about a bit more.
