Your repository file has been corrupted. I strongly suggest you start
looking for a backup containing a copy of the repository file before it
got corrupted (being able to checkout revision 1.1 is a good test). I
also strongly suggest that you run the script in the contrib directory
of reasonably recent CVS releases that checks the entire repository for
corruption (check_cvs or validate_repo). I also strongly suggest that
you upgrade to a reasonably recent release of CVS -- 1.11 is ancient.
Finally, I suggest you search the archives of this list for causes of
repository corruption and address whichever one you're having.

These child psychology books we bought were such a waste of money.
