cvs export and ampersand modules ???

I have a module which uses ampersand modules. 
Checkout, checkin, etc. works fine.
(Struct of Module "ModuleMain":
ModuleMain/AmpersandModule
ModuleMain/SomeOtherDir
etc.)

I have set a tag on a subdir, which corresponds to a ampersand module.
(cvs tag AmpersandModule_Version_1 AmpersandModule)


Now I want to export this module, but just the part tagged like mentioned 
above.
(cvs export -r AmpersandModule_Version_1 ModuleMain)

I always get the error:
cvs export: could not read RCS file for AmpersandModule
cvs [export aborted]: no such tag AmpersandModule_Version_1


CVS Version:
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.11.2-debian (client/server)


What am I missing ??? Or is this a bug in CVS ?
