option - show new logs while updating

It would be great if the update command had a switch option that would
make it so that the latest log comments would be shown for each file that
is updated during the update process.  Another possible variation would be
to show all comments for updated files that have been logged since the
user last ran update (i.e. I last ran update, or commited, goop.c at v1.1
and now it's at 1.3 so update shows me the comments for 1.2 and 1.3).

This would save me several steps every time I import changes that other
folks have made to a project, not having to run log -dD on each changed
file, or on the entire directory and then have to sort through the output
for new stuff.

Just an idea...  (Is this list the place for suggestions?)
