Use:
cvs update -j DEAD_REV -j PREVIOUS_REV file
cvs commit
Where:
DEAD_REV: the revision marked "dead"
PREVIOUS_REV: the revision just before DEAD_REV
So if the dead revision is 1.5, the first command would be:
cvs update -j1.5 -j1.4 foo
The order of the -j's is important, even though it looks weird.
What this says is to "apply the changes *from* 1.5 *to* 1.4",
i.e. the reverse of the change from 1.4 to 1.5.
