cvs lock help

Hi,

I am using WinCVS 1.2 client to talk to the cvs repository server 1.10.8 on linux server.

I have a problem of taking lock on file from wincvs client.

It gives me an error

"cvs [admin aborted]: 'admin -l' is a depreciated option. Use 'edit -c' instead. "

If I try to use 'edit -c' option from command line then it works just like clicking an edit option.

 

kindly help me on how to take an exclusive lock on a file before editing.
