RE: cvs server setup on RedHat 6.2

Hi Larry:

I have the same question about setting up cvs - and I was able
to create the repositories following the manual.. however, the
manual talks about editing the /etc/inetd.conf file to have CVS
run as a daemon.. and I don't have root access.. nor can I reboot
the machine.

So my question boils down to this.. is it possible to install CVS
server on my home directory without root priviledge? or.. without having
to restart the machine if I could get the sysadmin to edit the inetd.conf
for me

Thanks

Charlie

Read the manual. Particularly:

I just can't identify with that kind of work ethic. -- Calvin
