I apologize if I wasn't clear enough.
I wanted to be able to check out a file without having the whole directory
path in my working directory.
==============================================
for example, when I wanted to checkout README, I did this
cvs checkout src/archgen/util/doc/examples/test/README
this created the whole directory path in my working directory.
===============================================
this is a pain!
The information that Ms Dieter told me was what I wanted to do.
README is in my current working directory
===============================================
THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR HELP!
:-)
