cvs add: cannot remove <dirname>/CVS: Not a directory |

Hi all,
I am using Win 2000, CVS version 1.11 w/cygwin.
I recently created a new repository on my local
machine like:
cvs -d /cvsroot init
Then did a
cvs co .
into a working directory.
Now whenever I add directories to the repo with "cvs
add <dir name here>"
I get the following output:
cvs add: cannot remove /cvsroot/<dir name here>/CVS :
Not a directory
Directory /cvsroot/<dir name here> added to the
repository
As you can see, the dir does get added, but why do I
get the message about the system trying to remove the
CVS dir???
After adding the dir, despite the message, everything
works fine with that dir. The CVS admin directory for
the newly added dir is intact and has all the correct
files. Adding files does not exhibit this problem. Any
ideas?
Thanks
-Peter
