Dear Sir,

I am using CVS in Linux

Settings are as follows.

Red Hat Linux release 7.0 (Guinness)
Kernel 2.2.16-22 on an i686

Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.10.8 (client/server)

$CVSROOT= /home/bhavani/cvsroot

Machine IP address:

CVS already installed in the machine.
Without asking password, it is doing all other work.
How to prepare cvs for forcing loggin?

My xinetd.conf file is as follows.

# Simple configuration file for xinetd
# Some defaults, and include /etc/xinetd.d/

        instances               = 60
        log_type                = SYSLOG authpriv
        log_on_success          = HOST PID
        log_on_failure          = HOST RECORD

2401 stream tcp nowait root /usr/bin/cvs cvs -f
--allow-root=/home/bhavani/cvsroot pserver

includedir /etc/xinetd.d

I started $xinetd –restart

When I typed the following

$cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/home/bhavani/cvsroot login

it is giving

cvs [login aborted]: connect to failed: Connection

How to solve this problem?

Thankyou for your time and interest.
