Once you've done one checkout or update, it should be unnecessary to use
'-r1' again unless you want to check out a different sticky revision,
branch, or tag. 'cvs update -r1' is unnecessary.

If it works, and I've never tried it, it should keep working unless you've
used 'cvs admin' to force some revisions to be greater than 1.x, something
everyone says to never do anyway.
