Hi,

I just branched a project. In that project, I cvs removed all the
file in a particular directory. I then added a lot of new files,
including some subdirectories.

When I go to another computer to do an update, all of the old files
are removed, all of the new files in the directory are added, and all
of the sub directories are created.

However, the subirectories are empty. They do not contain the checked
in files. In fact, they don't even have a CVS directory.

When I did an update -P -d -r branch_tag, things got even weirder.
The sub-directories were populated with the correct files, but there
was still no CVS directory created.

I'm not sure what is going on. I check the repository, and all of the
new files I added were put int the Attic (I on't really care, as long
as CVS handles it). Also, the new subdirectories had Attics created,
and all of the file in the sub dir also went into the Attic. The
strange part is that the files in the sub dirs Attic are read only.

Any help is appreciated.

I did all of the adds and updates with WinCVS 1.1b17 talking to CVS
1.11 on Linux.

Thanks,
Gerald
