I'm not sure when this condition first arose, I believe it was after upgrading
to Red Hat 6.2 but I'm not sure as I don't access my CVS stuff very often.
Locally, I don't have a problem but other boxes on my LAN and another remote
box are having some difficulty.
address@hidden> cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/home/amsdesk/cvsroot checkout V4
cvs server: cannot open /root/.cvsignore: Permission denied
cvs [server aborted]: can't chdir(/root): Permission denied
I assume that this is not a CVS problem per se but a system configuration
issue on my server. But I would appreciate any suggestions that would help me
clean this up. What is really interesting about this is that existing checked
out copies are able to update and commit but still exhibit the error messages.
Incidentally, I am using the latest rpm download for cvs: 1.11 on a Red Hat
6.2
Thanks
Scott
