Thank you for the 'heads up' on pwelch function. Will look into it.
There are an amazing number of useful functions, that I never seem to be
alerted to until AFTER I write my own.
Worse, even when I 'know' a function exists, still difficult to find it!

I cut the rest, because I just wanted to point you to the pwelch
function, from the signal package, which computes power spectrum of a
signal with a wide variety of options if you need to tune it to your
needs.
