I am having hard time finding a Linux distribution which has the latest octave 3.6.2
When I go to
http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/download.html
all what it says: " Distributions known to package
Octave include"
Really? What does that "known" means?
How is a new user supposed to find which distribution has 3.6.2?
Why can't someone at octave find out, and make a list at that page with a direct link? Instead of every user searching and searching the net, then it only needs to be done once, by someone at octave as they know better which distro has the latest octave, or at least they can find easier.
This way, a new user can see which distro has the latest octave release and go there right away and download that distro.
How is one supposed to find which Linux distribution has octave 3.6.2? Not everyone in the world is a Linux distributions expert.
thank you,
Nash
