Hi Tobias,
I strongly believe this is due to limitations of your hardware. I was
supervising a Lab Session session where students were supposed to do exactly
the same. The limit there was the laptop microphone.
If you do not need a specific speech try to convert any mp3 file to wav and
load the wave...
