We are currently using Matlab for processing PIV images with the
MatPIV toolbox. This toolbox depends on the Image Processing Toolbox.
Will Octave be able to work with MatPIV?
I don't know MatPIV so I cannot comment on this part.
Does Octave have an
equivalent to the Image Processing Toolbox? Thanks in advance.
"Toolboxes" are referred to as "packages" in Octave parlance.
Many Octave packages are distributed through the Octave-Forge web-site:
http://octave.sourceforge.net
there is a collection of image processing functions in the "image"
package:
http://octave.sourceforge.net/image/index.html
