It is difficult to tell, but I suspect there is some blurrying.  For
example, these are mp4 and ogg versions of the same animation:

as you can see, the ogg one looks good, but only until you compare it
with the mp4.  In fact, while using -sameq with ffmpeg does not compress
with the mp4 coder, it apparently keeps compressing when using ogg, so
the lines between differently coloured areas are blurred, while they
should not be.

The best formats are the lossless ones:

but it seems that I cannot find a decent viewer to look at them frame by
frame, while I can do that with avidemux and mp4.
