Here is the promised timing with x11 vs Aquaterm on iBook G4 (1.2GHz)
hpc octave 2.1.73 and today's cvs snapshot of gnuplot.
(timed command is sombrero(200) this time -- G4 is too slow)
Aquaterm with hidden line removal:
address@hidden octave]$ time ./tmesh
real 1m50.068s
user 1m38.934s
sys 0m2.029s
x11 with hidden line removal:
address@hidden octave]$ time ./tmesh
real 1m42.795s
user 1m35.641s
sys 0m1.415s
Aquaterm w/o hidden line removal
address@hidden octave]$ time ./tmesh
real 0m3.248s
user 0m2.242s
sys 0m0.339s
x11 w/o hidden line removal
address@hidden octave]$ time ./tmesh
real 3m1.566s
user 1m37.876s
sys 0m1.487s
Sincerely,
Dmitri.
