i have been looking around for how to get octave to either :
(1) fit an equation to raw x/y data
(2) integrate peaks in x/y data
... but haven't gotten far. i _know_ i can use gnuplot for (1), and so i figure
i could get octave to do that via gplot, but as for (2), should i be looking
beyond just 'octave'? i mean, i have seen _equations_ getting analyzed, but not
raw data...
