Please be more specific about your version of octave, and where you actually
got it.  There is no organization I am aware of named "Gnu" that distributes
octave.  Rather, "GNU Octave" is the name of the software.

Also, try to provide more information about your platform.  What version of
Windows are you running?  Did you use Cygwin to install octave, or some other
method?


To get a good answer, you have to ask a good question.
