octave-forge 2006.03.17 under octave 2.1.73: error: `dispatch' undefined

Hi all,

I just finished building octave 2.1.73 with octave-forge 2006.03.17 under Mac OS X 10.4.5 (gcc/g++/g77 3.4.5). Before installing octave-forge octave came up cleanly, however, one I installed octave-forge, I get the following error:

Saturn:~ marius$ octave

I didn't see this error with 2.1.72. The internet holds few useful answers to this issue. Any help would be appreciated.
