I was unable to link octave with atlas on fedora core 4 by using gcc4 (default
C compiler) and either using gfortran of g77 from 3.2.2 included there.
I did compile ATLAS with gcc4 and with gfortran stab, but it seems that
gfortran requires some extra libraries to link in, so octave's configure
test fails.
