All,

It has several times been mentioned that we
should use a underlying virtual machine for the
execution. By doing this we could save some
hard work.

There are a number of option open for us.
However I think that the work done on parrot
looks quite promising.

Maybe we should make a mission statement to
focus the efforts of the community.  Write a few
words on octave.org and see what happens......
