Is Octave libraries thread-safe?

Hi.
I think that the following versions can be downloaded.

Stable               2.0.17 
Testing              2.1.57 
Development          2.1.57 

Could any one tell me which is thread-safe?
Could I code C++ multi-thread program using Octave's libraries ?
