I donwnloaded kmatplot from kmatplot.sourceforge.net, and installed the
.deb file of the old version 0.3 on my Debian woody system.
Kmatplot promises to be a wonderful substitute to gnuplot, and the
screenshot are really inviting.
The precompiled version of 0.4 fails with my libraries, and I was not
able to compile it, because of mismatching qt libraries, so I got stuck
with 0.3, which apparently works (it also has problems with the png
libraries I have installed, but it seems not to be fatal).
Then I installed the .rpm with the octave interface, but the .oct files
did not load in my octave 2.1 system. Thanks to suggestion from Paul
Kienzle, I recompiled them, and now octave sees them, but I get:
error:
/usr/lib/octave/2.1.35/site/oct/i386-pc-linux-gnu/kmatplot/kplot.oct:
undefined symbol: _ZTV12octave_value
Any suggestions?
