besseli

[Heber Farnsworth]

I'm having trouble with the function besseli (modified Bessel of the 
first kind).  I works great for some values but for others it gives 
strange results.  It seems that as either of the two arguments gets 
large the function becomes unstable.  For instance besseli(25,100) 
returns inf + i inf.  I need to be able to be able to handle this type 
of situation.  Is there any way to tune this function or is there better 
code out there?
