remove fields from structure

Hello all,

is it possible to remove a field from a structure, eg

stru.a = 1;
stru.b = 2;
clear stru.a;

does not work (but also gives no error); Matlab provides a
rmfield cmd for doing this. Is it posibble to have a
workaround for that?
