In my window manager (tvtwm; I guess I'm old fashioned) it doesn't get
the focus, but it does move to the top when new data is added to a
plot.  I think this is a gnuplot `feature'.  Octave is definitely not
asking for this behavior.  If someone knows how to turn it off, speak
up!
