Hello,

I am looking for a routine calculating the Legendre function P_l(x) for
non-integer (i.e. real) "l"
in general. I went through the gsl library where I was able to find the
standard Legendre
polynomials (i.e. integer l and m) in "legendre_poly.c" or more
sophisticated functions like
the conical functions (P^{-mu}_{-1/2 + I tau}) in "legendre_con.c" but I
couldn't find a
routine for general (real) "l". Is it too difficult to calculate it ? Or am
I able to calculate it
starting from the "basic" functions already existing in the gsl library ?
Thnak you very much in advance for any help that you can provide,
Sincerely,

Mick
