Hello,

In reply to an old message about extracting a grub.cfg file embedded in an efi 
image:

The method described earlier, namely booting the image to a prompt then using 
"cat (memdisk)/boot/grub/grub.cfg" to view the file will only display the file.  
To extract it, use binwalk:
