No. For me, all looks normal. In case it helps, M-x describe-char has
this to say about the display font:
display: by this font (glyph code)
xft:-unknown-Liberation Mono-normal-normal-normal-*-11-*-*-*-m-0-iso10646-1

And the epsilon:
display: by this font (glyph code)

My Emacs font configuration isn't what you'd call "vanilla", though
