It's already setup to 3.

The variable calendar-day-abbrev-array has the following value here:
 Calendar Day Abbrev Array:
Sun: Va
Mon: Hé
Tue: Ke
Wed: Sze
Thu: Cs
Fri: Pé
Sat: Szo

So why I get still the following face of the Calendar?
