I used probably a hundred different keyboards over the years, including the
great Sun type 4 and also lots of utilities to remap keyboards to make life,
especially in emacs, easier and faster. I just discovered KeyPadPro (
http://keypadpro.dopplerthepom.com/Home.html ) and am setting up layouts for
various programs I use, including emacs. It's going to take some time, but I'll
have easy-to-find and labelled keys for all the org-mode, folding mode, verilog
mode, svn mode, and general editing commands I use all the time. Works on Mac,
Windows, and Linux, so I should be covered everywhere!

It should help some of my confusion using XP, OSX, and Linux every day and
trying to remember which modifier keys to use! FYI, and related to the cua
discussion, the Mac version of emacs has, in addition to the standard keymaps,
the Mac Command key as the super modifier. This allows it to, by default, use
cmd-cxva exactly like other OSX apps.
