The doc-string for delete-auto-save-files says:
*Non-nil means delete auto-save file when a buffer is saved or
killed.
Note that auto-save file will not be deleted if the buffer is killed
when it has unsaved changes.
I can't quite understand the "note that..." bit. It directly
contradicts the first
sentence. The behaviour of all versions of Emacs I have used is to
delete the
auto-save file when a buffer is explicitly killed (assuming this
variable is set to non-nil). The Emacs Lisp manual doesn't say anything
corresponding to the second sentence either.
Is this a bug in the doc-string?
