(defvar pause-map nil "Keybindings with Pause as prefix")
(define-prefix-command 'pause-map)
(global-set-key '[(pause)] 'pause-map)
(define-key pause-map '[(t)] '(lambda ()
(interactive)
(insert "Testing Pause Prefix")))
Note however, that I'm not really sure whether this is the supposed
way to do it. Maybe someone with deeper understanding of this could
enlighten us?

a blessed +42 regexp of confusion (weapon in hand)
You hit. The format string crumbles and turns to dust.
