Hmm, if you want what you write in the first paragraph above, opening
files with certain file extensions in emacs, do like this (assuming
Windows 2000):
Right click on a file and open the Open With-menu. There should be a
option to choose application. Point to gnuclientw.exe (not the "w")
and check the option to always use that application to open the file.
Works for me.
Or did you mean anything special with the "advance options in
filetypes"? What do you want to accomplish?
