GLPK 2.2 -- Release information
*******************************

Release date: Mar 15, 2001

GLPK (GNU Linear Programming Kit) is a library of ANSI C routines and
intended for solving linear programming and other related problems.

Now GLPK includes a *tentative* implementation of the branch-and-bound
procedure based on the dual simplex method for solving mixed integer
linear programming (MIP) problems. Mixed integer programming is one of
the most important and most interesting areas of computer science.

Brief description of this new feature of the package is given in the
preliminary document "Mixed Integer Linear Programming Using GLPK 2.2
(Supplement to GLPK User's Guide)". This document is prepared in plain
text format and included into the distribution (see the file 'mip.txt'
in the subdirectory 'doc').

Please note that the current version of GLPK is *tentative*.

See the official GNU web page about GLPK at
<http://www.gnu.org/software/glpk/glpk.html>.

GLPK distribution and the documentation (in Postscript format) can be
ftp'ed from <ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/glpk/> or from some mirror GNU site
(see <http://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html>).

You can also visit the author's web page dedicated to GLPK at
<http://mai2.rcnet.ru/~mao/glpk/index.htm> (please note that the web
server mai2.rcnet.ru works unstably, therefore sometimes this page is
not available).
