If Matthew wants to make us a binary of his improved
gnuclient programs using a MicroSoft compiler, that is
OK with me.  However, since he is most likely not
going to be able to release his code into the emacs
distribution, I would suggest that Matthew set an
objective of making sure that his new version will
also compile with gcc under CYGWIN and MinGW so that
others without access to .NET development tools can
perform additional maintenance.  I am hopeful that he
would have no difficulty finding volunteers who can
try compiling his stuff with gcc and who can help
resolve any conflicts.
