I don't follow.
Ah. You are saying "don't set HOME to c:\Emacs, set it to something
else". In general, that is good advice. But since the OP has his
.emacs in c:\Emacs, and doesn't have HOME set to anything, setting
HOME to c:\Emacs is the simplest solution.
