How to build the calc++ exmple?

I want to try building the calc++ example. I tried to just run "make" under
examples/calc++, but nothing was built.

What am I supposed to do in order to compile the calc++ example?

 I have noticed that there are 3 Makefiles (Makefile Makefile.am
Makefile.in) under the examples directory. Which one am I supposed to use?
