Great to see a prototype. My comments:

1) for the average user, mandatory login will not work.  As a casual but
curious user I would never bother registering for a site like this.  I
suggest using cookies and tracking people that way. As a casual user that's
what I expect a modern website to do. Much less invasive than asking my name
and email.  

2) I'm sorry to say that the casual user will have no idea what to do with
this 'create a story' type page. I certainly don't get it, even with your
tutorial.  I don't understand the point or purpose to making a story, and I
don't understand how to componse a story using the boxes you have.

3) I assume the story will appear eventually where it now says "At the
moment, there are no construals to rate at this level. Try a different
level."  If so, do you expect a casual user to know what a construal is?
