Dear All,

While still buggy, at least the following instructions do work, and have
been thoroughly tested on Windows XP and Windows 7. Please let me know
of further successes with other Win-Dozes!

------------------------------------------------------------------
Install the Tryton Client (tryton):

On your local * nix workstation, install Python (recommended version
2.7), and python-pip. Thereafter, issue:

pip install tryton

Note: If you experience crashes when accessing Tryton's internal
messaging system, delete any python-timezone and python-dateutil
packages provided by the client distribution.

On your local Windows™ XP workstation, download Python (version 2.7 -
http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.2/python-2.7.2.msi), save it and
double-click on the file to install it, using default preferences.
This step is NOT required for Windows Vista or Windows 7!

Thereafter download the Tryton stand-alone client
(http://downloads.tryton.org/2.2/tryton-2.2.0.exe), safe it somewhere
convenient. Start the Tryton client by double-clicking on it.

Note: Do not set any timezone preferences in the Tryton stand-alone
client, as this will cause crashes, when sending off or reading requests.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The last-mentioned issue has been filed with Tryton as a bug, but has
not yet seen any proper resolution: It seems that some leading operating
systems (e.g. FreeBSD) report time zones as "EST", or "AFT" or whatever,
while the Windows Tryton client only understands [country] / [city].
This behaviour is NOT observed with the *nix-based Tryton client, which
works like a charm.

Hope this helps!

Bests from Kabul -

Chris
