But that's not true. If you create a Mediaserver directory (e.g., Z) and pass it on the command line (make run Z=Z), data is saved to that directory.

Granted, using that is taking chances, because it hasn't been extensively tested, but isn't that what alphas are about?

Well, ok. But we can do this and *still* not say "you can't save data at the moment," which is not true. We can say, "Saving is currently undocumented and has not been tested extensively."
